How does /lit/ feel about House of Leaves? Is it a meme?

It's as though he tried to do a Finnegan's Wake and ram together all the hip ideas he had and could scrape together, ruining those techniques for everyone else.

E.g. who now could get a book with interesting typographical features published?

I can only think of Victor Pelevin who used 2 different fonts in one of his novels (and even then, I don't know if the English translations follow this)

and Alasdair Gray in Scotland.

The whole edgy thing makes it harder for mainstream publishers and readers to take these things seriously I guess.

Its a meme book, but the first half is enjoyable because of the concept.

It's OK. Johnny Truant is shit. Navidson's Report is generally fascinating. He had a good thing going with this book really. Not sure what his other works are like but I can't say I'm excited to find out.
