Hey anons, i have a question about him. On his theory, is the Death of God a Teleological-Mithological conclusion of society, like the End of History in Hegel and the Socialist Revolution of Marx, or a theoretical analysis, like the state of nature on the contratualists? In general i would say that people tend to think of the first, but i would argument the second.

Human history as Nietzsche imagines it will end with the letzte Mensch and the emergence of the Übermensch. It would be natural to suppose that the Death of God is not the beginning of the end of history but a step on the ladder that lets humanity ascend to Übermenschheit.

What happened to the other Nietzsche thread? Disappeared after I'd typed out a long response.
