Books written by women
Books with a strong and empowered female lead character who still manages to remain feminine despite her position of responsibility.
Basically any of the conventional Chick-lit conventions
Overly busy covers
Anything recommended by Oprah (the Road being a notable exception)

Oh, you think the story is getting quite exciting don't you?
Well, here are two chapters full of sceenery descriptions or something arbitrary that serves no other purpose but to add to the page length and bore you.

I think it's pretty obvious that Rowling realized it didn't fucking matter so she just humored the retarded press conference question by saying "yes, Dubledore is gay."

>> No.951648

When authors use big words in place a slightly smaller words just to make them selves appear smarter. Bonus points if the bigger word is wrong.

In the 7th Harry Potter: Pg 45: "... figures began to pop into sight as their Disillusionment Charms lifted." First of all it should be some form of the word illusion. Disillusionment means the illusion is taken away so how would the charm lifting make them visible when by it's name it should take away any illusion.

Hate it when authors don't know the words they write.

>> No.951699

>>951568

It wasn't at a pressconference and she wasn't asked if he was gay
FAIL
Originated at a special booksigning and reading night at Carnegie hall and the question she was asked was if Dumbledore had ever been in love with someone
That's when she replied she always thought of him as gay and goes on to answer that he was in love with Grindlewald etc. etc.
