Is this worth reading? Or is it just a meme?

Get the audiobook, the author does a dead-on Tommy Wiseau impression. You can easily find a torrent.

Im aware of that, I just want to know if its written well

I've read a lot of autobiographies that read like complete shit.

Greg Sestero is an actor, not a writer

The prose isn't amazing. The content is.

It a collaboration with a writer, as most autobiographys are. I liked it, Sesteros narrative is very good

I really liked it. It's extremely well written.

You'd think maybe it's just a book about kind of laughing about the making of the movie, but it's a surprisingly emotional, and even touching story about two friends, their bizarre relationship, and the journey they go on that leads up to the making of the movie.

It also definitely delivers on the hilariously crazy experience of actually making the movie too. I thought it was the best book i read in whatever year I read it in.

for what it is it's pretty well written. it's super fun which is the point

It is worth reading but it's not amazingly written. Standard memoir writing. It's nonfiction anyway, it doesn't need the beautiful, flowery prose and given it's a comedy/drama memoir it just needs good setup, which it also has. In fact I'll probably re-read it soon.

You know how fucking ridiculous a memoir about one of the worst movies ever made would be if it was written in T.S. Eliot-like flowery prose? What the fuck is your dumb ass even talking about?

Memes aside, it's an interesting book about an interesting friendship. It doesnt spend much time discussing the actual movie; it just focuses on the hilarious behind the scenes that happened on the movie, plus how they met and the way their friendship blossomed.
