Anyone else here buy books faster than they can read them?

I got 11 books I haven't read and just bought like 8 more.

Feyd-Rautha is always related.

I can't help it. They're SOOOOO cheap.

>> No.947427

That's pretty dumb.

>> No.947431

its a bad bad habit. dont drive so much. coop yourself up in a reading space and make it so that you must only read what is around you, and if you are "in the moment" or "have a feeling" about a book, see if it lasts, see if you continue to itch for that story then read it/buy it.

also, dont forget about the library dude!

>> No.947437

I'm a poorfag and use the library. I'll often put my name in the queue for books, under the presumption that by the time they're in, I'll finish what ever I'm currently reading. I always fuck it up, though. Right now I've got like 8 books all due in less than a month.

>> No.947438

I've had an itch to read The Picture of Dorian Gray for three years and I still haven't bought it, but I've bought probably 100 other books since then.

I do. Except I've got at least 2 dozen that I haven't read.

>> No.947469

I probably own 3-4 dozen books, not including my huge anthologies, that I haven't read yet.

>> No.947474

I always buy in bulk

>> No.947478

No, OP, but I download them faster than I can read them.

>> No.947481

I haven't read about half the books I own, but it's not like I'm not reading at all. I just tend to get at least 10 more each week. I'm sure it'll die down eventually, and I'll just have a nice pile of books to read at that point.

i read probably 7-8 books out of every 10 i buy. however, some of those books i don't read i usually read later within a year or two. some not. i would say 10% of my collection of roughly 200 books are unread. :(

you're right, op. they're so damn cheap. i buy used. shipping cost me more than the book more often than not.

>> No.947652

I read faster than i can buy at a rate of 1000+ a year i cant afford to buy as fast as i read

>implying you read almost three books per day

>> No.947656

>> No.947823

>> No.947846

I'm addicted to goodwills so I buy a shit ton of books. I have over 100 I have bought recently, like within 2 months. Haven't even picked one up yet.

I guess it's the hoarder/collector in me.
