My personal favorite book. Discuss?

>> No.939078

It's not even that good.

And loli gangbang was out of nowhere.

>> No.939079

Who knew the IT department could be so scary.

>> No.939077

if it's your favorite book, don't you have anything to say about it?

Good point, but I want to evaluate what others think before I give my opinion. Not like it matters either way, but I already made up my mind.

That was weird, but if I was an 11 year old girl surrounded by boys that turn me on and I had just discovered what "sex" is, I'd probably fuck them.

I liked this book because it has a little bit of everything in my opinion. Horror, suspense, mystery, fantasy, romance, etc. I also love how the writing can easily put you into perspective of the subject. It's really the simple things that made me not want to set the book down. I give this book ten decaying bodies out of ten.

This was the only Stephen King book that I have read that I didn't like.

All the others were great.

i'm sure op just wants people to say what they thought about the book. I mean, this is /lit/

Great book, listening to the audio book right now, even though I have read IT like 3 times

then op would say 'hey i read this book i really liked how blah blah blah, what did you guys think of this'

not 'my fav book talk about it'

>> No.939182

I adore this book. It gets really scary about half way through, I'd say. It was the first SK book I read and I have been reading his works ever since. Eyes of the Dragon is my fav book by him so far though.

I love how detailed he is about the history of the town, honestly if one day he decided to make the journal that Mike was writing, the one we read parts of during the "Derry Interlude" parts, I would enjoy it. I know some people were turned off about how detailed he was, but I enjoyed it.

>> No.939204

Does anyone else get the feeling King inserted the smurfette scene because it turned him on?

>> No.939207

The book was actually scary, which was great because while most of King's books are enjoyable, there isn't much in the scare department.

Loli gangbang served no purpose, could do without it.

Bob Gray was funny.

OP here. I think the details are the most important part in a book like this. It almost makes the reader develop feelings for the characters, which is where some of the suspense comes in towards the end. I also love how the narration varies depending on the depicted character in each sub-chapter. It seems like SK is writing about real people.

>> No.939226

thinks i disliked:
loli gangbang
self insert character
GRIMDARK ending that didn't serve any real purpose
no one seems to comment on the loli gangbang once they're adults

'I know something,' Beverly said in the dark, and to Bill her voice sounded older. 'I know because my father told me. I know how to bring us back together. And if we're not together we'll never get out.'
'What?' Ben asked, sounding bewildered and terrified. 'What are you talking about?'
'Something that will bring us together forever. Something that will show - '
'Nuh-Nuh-No, B-B-Beverly!' Bill said, suddenly understanding, understanding everything.
' - that will show that I love you all,' Beverly said, 'that you're all my friends.'
'What's she t - ' Mike began.
Calmly, Beverly cut across his words. 'Who's first?' she asked.

The loli-gangbang wouldn't have been that weird, but they were all covered in shit, piss, blood, and sweat. I think Bev's inner thighs are actually described to be "sticky" towards the end of that scene. But, what would a Stephen King book be without something out of the ordinary.

Good book. Patrick Hockstetter was my favorite character, but I don't really remember why we got so much detail about him since all he did was give Henry a beejay and then get killed by a fridge-monster.

I am going to admit that the loli gangbang gave me a boner.

Also that whole cosmic interlude was pretty sweet. I definitely prefer the King books where he delves into the supernatural (not crap like Cujo).

Cujo had some supernatural at the beginning ,though it was kinda random, and it was hard to tell if it applied to the dog. They had the ghost, Frank, who was the killer that the guy from The Dead Zone helped catch.

>> No.939629

>>939524
Oh man, the beginning of that book was fantastic. Too bad it was all downhill from there.
