I really don't understand what Nietzsche was on about. I mean, he has great stuff to say about morality, shame, justice, Greek tragedy, psychology, and life-affirmation,

but the revaluation of all values is clearly insane, the overman is 100% edgelord bullshit...

did Nietzsche fight in any wars? He wrote about the kinship he felt with Epicurus, I guess because Epicurus was anti-teleogical and really brave? But listen to this shit (recounted by Plutarch):

>Colotes himself, for another, while hearing a lecture of Epicurus on natural philosophy, suddenly cast himself down before him and embraced his knees [in supplication]; and this is what Epicurus himself writes about it in a tone of solemn pride: 'You, as one revering my remarks on that occasion, were seized by a desire... to embrace me by clasping my knees and lay hold of me to the whole extend of the contact that is customarily established in revering and supplicating [gods and deified monarchs].

sure Nietzsche criticized Epicurus for misapprehending the value of struggle but they were both already "decadent" onanists and their struggles most likely consisted of migraines and angst. And you don't just 'stop being a decadent' no matter how many times you write about the crucial necessity of the matter in your diary desu
