First /lit/ meme I feel for. Read the first couple chapters and raged so hard. Kept me off of /lit/ for years. Taipei reminds me of high school english class when you are peer editing a fobs story and are supposed to pretend it isn't horribly written. It's fucking baffling he got any praise.
