What philosopher deals with meaning?

>> No.9221130

Linguistics, because the entire issue of "meaning" is resolved when you define the word.

whoever "wrote" this can't think and can't write.

I find I express my thoughts more eloquently when I'm in correspondence with someone irl (typically via e-mail). There's a reputational cost to sounding like an idiot, and a social pressure to reduce your thoughts into the most clear and brief expression possible.

Essentially, read articles by academics on topics you're interested in, then e-mail them an original thesis veiled as a question about their own work. In my experience most will respond.

Well, I write much better when sober, but this is an out of the box idea alright. I might try.
