Are you telling me to read Logical Investigations or is that an answer to my question of why I shouldn't read Husserl ?

OK, that's what I thought. Logical Investigations was the one I was considering reading, but I wasn't sure how deep it goes into phenomenology, which seems like the most important part of Husserl's works.

Logical investigations.
Then the Ideas.
It's preferable to have read as much Descartes and Leibniz as possible before though.

It really is the foundation of his phenomenology. Theres a husserl anthology published by Indiana I think that has important excerpts from all his work. I havent read it but maybe it's something you'd be interested in

I'd rather read the whole works than just collected excerpts, but thanks anyway. Looks like I'm reading Logical Investigations, then.

Just as soon as I finish the Phenomenology of Spirit.

His mistake was putting all his eggs in one basket and expecting a reward from it. I'm taking a Computer Engineering major and studying philosophy as a hobby. I might get a minor in it at the most, but anyone who gets a degree in it is stupid if they expect it to pay off.

Why that one ? Logical Investigations seems to be the most obvious work of his.
