Dearest /lit/,

Please do not be too quick to judge this work, as it probably isn't what you're used to reading. I know you're all very tasteful and common pop-fiction like this is quite below you.

But I'm wondering if any of you stopped and, if only to laugh, read this book that I've been very interested in since I first heard of it.

I'd like to buy it but I am very poor and do not often get to purchase books of my own.

Tell me. What are your thoughts?

This is very quickly heading for the bottom of the page. Even one response might help me make up my mind.

You do know there's a contraption called a "library", right?

I do but my local one doesn't have this book, and if it's actually worth reading and not just a really awesome concept, I'd like to own it.

Library books just aren't the same.

I've heard its name being increasingly thrown around here lately
If you're depending on /lit/'s taste I say go for it

It's good if you're a "young adult" into steampunk.

Thankyou. I think I will.

I'm 20 so I'm getting a bit past that, but honestly, I read books to enjoy them, not just because their content is of 'significance'. I do enough of that for university work I think you'll find!

Read it some time ago.
Think it's somewhat short and aimed at a younger audience. Apart from this it was a nice read, quick and entertaining, to go between the 'big' books.

Well I hear it's to be part of a series, so I suppose its length isn't an issue.

What you described is exactly what I'm looking for.
