Anyone a fan of Krazy Kat, Ignatz, Offisa Pupp, etc.? Fuck, I am. Recently bought ten of these because they make me laugh like an idiot.

Coconino County is a weird case of popular success and merchandise coming on early and briefly, but still perpetuating for another few decades into greater and more vivid abstraction. If Herriman hadn't had his lifetime contract with Hearst personally, it would have all ended much sooner.

I hope you notice how the backgrounds were plagiarized for Road Runner & Wile E Coyote. That's how influential they were.
