Where does /lit/ prefer to read? I'm struggling to find a good spot to read. If I read in front of my computer I get distracted, if I read in bed I fall asleep, and if I just sit down in my couch and read I feel "out of place".

Couch. You'll get used to it. Also, if you get enough sleep, you can read in bed without conking out.

Next to my bookshelf is a Lovesac in faux rabbit fur. It is some kind of overpriced memory foam beanbag, without the beans. Comfy and durable, but my legs are too long and I've injured my knee from falling asleep with it bent against the floor at an unnatural angle. Problem was solved by a homemade ottoman (quilt+cardboard box).

Not really, there are times when I sleep for 10 hours and I just can't stay awake while reading on the bed no matter how interesting the book is.
