So just finished Feast of Crows for the first time, can't wait till dance etc. Has there ever been a debate over the possible implications of Pate the maegister in training. At the beginning of the book we see Pate come to an untimely end at the hands of a shadowy stranger, yet this character reemerges on the last page of Feast. Is he of the Faceless Men? If so what drives the House of Black and White? Just some food for thought, we'll see if this goes anywhere.

Pate = Jaquen

Maesters want to destroy magic and dragons. Faceless Men presumably do not approve and are keeping tabs.
