Hey /lit/,
Before recently I never read books unless I had to. What should I start with to read for fun?

What kind of books do you enjoy?

I'll take a shot in the dark and recommend The Hunger Games. It's a light read, it was written for young adults, and is very entertaining. It's set in a dystopian future where all that is left of america are 12 slave colonies and a rich capital. Each year the slave colonies have to send two children to the hunger games where they are put in the wilderness and have to fight to the death. The games are completely televised and the colonies are forced to watch as their children kill each other as punishment for a rebellion that happened nearly a hundred years ago.

The books great and has a lot to say about the perverseness of reality TV.
