Okay lad

I'm reading it at the moment, definitely a book to enjoy and relax with.
The writing style is very good also, as it develops alongside the story.

I find some of the descriptions a bit weak (almost a times a little too magical to be real and connect with me), and it's quite obvious Marquez has no idea how to write normal dialogue (perhaps that's the spanish though), because no one will have a conversation longer than five lines that's not about smokey armpits or revolution. If you're like me, you're going to struggle with all the identical names, too.

However, it's totally offset by the stellar imagination and wistful tone. It's a really enjoyable surreal book that succeeds in being serious too. Certain characters can really carry a scene too.

I'd say read it.

Actually you have better reading it all at once. Otherwise you will miss lot of details from previous parts.
