Will this be the next most highly studied book akin to Ulysses?

no you (not necessarily op, but those on /lit/ who actually own it) just blew a load of money on a bunch of jibberish in an attempt to be ahead of the curve

Christ, you're one stupid fucker

Best case scenario it's in equal parts ridiculed and respected as highly literate gibberish akin to Finnegans Wake.

I bought it, not under /lit/'s recommendation, but because it's on a list as one of the all time greats. I agree. You either have to be full blood Irish, and read a ton of Shakespeare to understand it, or be willing to take the hours upon hours to look up all the references.

Outside of germany i really don't think arno is read by alot of people. He's a very difficult author ontop of his funky formatting which even some translators admit doesn't always have a purpose.

I own it. Book really isn't too hard to understand. I'm sure there is a lot that goes over my head, but most of it is people talking, with vulgar jokes layered in the text. that's it.
