I dunno bro, I just wanted to destroy all my books for some reason

Same shit happens when I'm leaning over a ledge, if I have something in my hand I feel like dropping it

That happened to me today. I wanted to shout "Extreme!" and vault over the edge while making the devil horns symbol, and then fall to my death six storeys below. That would have everyone puzzling for years!

Somewhere you recognize that you are trapped by those books. The fetters of language, the impossible stance of those pillars of humanity, the modern gods who write our reality mocking you from the shelf on which you have placed them. You thought you were being reverent, but in your kneel to the altar of scholarship you have caught yourself within the inescapable penance of knowledge - I say dash the java, OP! Break now this bondage, this slavery, this servitude of a false inferiority to the so-called masters of their form! By ruining the spines of these killed buddhas, you are finding your own! Come, O ubermensch and rise above the constraints of language, dancing in posthuman glee among a digital transfer of pure consciousness!

[post-script: this rant is best read as a slow crescendo toward madness, preferably in the voice of either Orson Wells or Gene Wilder]

I was in Kelvingrove Art Gallery recently where they keep the Dali painting of Christ (pic related) that got slashed (and shot with an airgun at one point too), and I was wondering why stuff like that doesn't happen more often. All the paintings are basically unprotected and it would be such an easy way to make a name for yourself

When I walk through the MFA in Boston my mouth waters at the though of destroying ancient vases and gouging oil paintings, my heart beats faster. Its almost unbearable. I totally understand when you hear about art defacement.
