What other boards do /lit/erates frequent?

Also: Does your taste in 4chan boards reflect your taste in books? (i.e., /lit/erates are interested only in classic literature, /sci/ interested in scifi, etc)

>> No.892598

/ck/ and /mu/.

I don't think it says much about my taste in literature, besides the fact that I own several cookbooks.

>> No.892601

not really. I go on /v/, but I enjoy comedic novels. But I do go on /adv/ sometimes, and I like non-fiction.

>> No.892603

/b/ /k/ /o/ /int/ /sci/
I sometime go to /ck/,/mu/,/r9k or /n/

>> No.892615

>>892603
And here I thought I was the only one on /lit/ that also goes to /k/.

And sometimes /ck/ and very rarely /adv/, but only for the non-relationshit threads. Used to go to /g/ but there's not enough variety of threads there.

I guess I've always liked /k/-related fiction. Dunno about /ck/ though.

>> No.892619

/co/, /p/, and /tg/.

When I feel like trolling I go to /adv/.

>> No.892618

>>892590
/ck/,/v/,/a/,/r9k/,/y/
No they don't really affect my reading at all, except very occasionally I'll read a japanese light novel or videogame book. And manga of course but that's not lit.

>> No.892617

Pretty well just /lit/ /b/, and occasionally /s/ and /r/ (and any male here that doesn't own up to going on /s/ every once in a while is a dirty liar).
Mostly I read classical literature and philosophy, very rarely a contemporary author.

>> No.892621

/c/, /u/, /v/, /w/, /ck/, /g/, /x/.

I don't think this really reflects my taste in books. I read pretty much anything, though...I don't think there's a genre that I actively avoid reading, although I don't read a lot of mysteries or romance novels, come to think.

>> No.892630

Before /lit/, I spent all my time on /jp/ and /book/.
But now I just browse /lit/, and sometimes /adv/ when I'm bored or /ck/ for the homegrowmen-threads.

>> No.892657

/co/

>> No.892661

only /b/ LOLS GUYS hOW U LIKE ME NOW

>> No.892671

/p/ /mu/ /tv/
I enjoy things that make me laugh, pretty simple

>> No.892679

/k/ - I like war history and military books
/tg/ - I read the Warhammer books
/sci/ - does wikipedia counts ? but also college books
/b/ - okay, dark humor books
/wg/ - ...

first time posting here

>> No.892712

Mostly here.

/r9k/ if I'm bored.
/b/ if I need a laugh.
/s/ if I need sexy time.
/wg/ if I need a new wallpaper.
/mu/ if I feel like listening to music.

I used to go to /g/, computerfag, but not much anymore.

>> No.892716

Other boards I've been known to visit, very roughly in descending order of frequency: /tg/ /adv/ /mu/ /tv/ /ck/. Also, I may spend some time on /r9k/ when it's not, you know, summer. Also /mu/ is terrible.

I don't know that it has any correspondence to my reading tastes. Well, I tell a lie: the /tg/ is almost certainly connected to my love for schlocky sf&f. but other than that, no.

>> No.892730

/a/ - Used to go here a lot, as evidenced by the dredges of my manga collection.
/v/ - I suppose my not that great video game related novels count.
/adv/ and /r9k/ occasionally, but I'm not sure that has anything to do with any of my books.
/cm/ - Yeah, I don't read homoerotica or anything, so I think this is separate from my reading tastes as well.

But I'm mostly on /lit/ now.

>> No.892745

/ck/ I read Hellboy, Green Lantern, and I own every single Amory Wars comic book, also the Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV: Volume 1: From Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness graphic novel
/sci/ I read a lot of sci-fi

>> No.892751

>>892745
Where it says /ck/ i meant /co/

>> No.892755

/fit/ Don't read books about fitness. Seems a little counterproductive.
/tv/ Don't read books about television or film. Again a little counterproductive.
/adv/ I guess I do read books about detestable loathsome people.

>> No.892756

/a/ - I read manga
/g/ - I read programming textbooks
/v/ - uhhhh
/w/ - you lost me
/ic/ - I read Loomis
/fit/ - you lost me
/jp/ - I read doujins
/mu/ - though I don't listen to music while I read
/new/ - I read the news

/d/ - Well I do enjoy a good macabre thriller.
/g/ - Technology is one of my favorite themes in literature.
/h/ - Many of the books I like would make for some crazy /h/.
/u/ - Absolutely love lesbian and feminist literature, I can never get enough of it.
/ic/ - An entire shelf-and-a-half of my book space is dedicated to art books. I went to school for art and love to study all ranges of artistic literature.
/ck/ - I don't really read cookbooks, so idk how to relate these two.
/tv/ - I really only go here to ask about literature made into film or television, or to talk about the writing for either medium.

>> No.892792

/int/, but not the 4chan one

I used to go to /co/ but I don't really care for sexualizing children's cartoons or superheroes so I got bored quick

>> No.892793

>>892787
+ /co/ - I read lots of comics, especially ones related to literature such as Fables and From Hell.

>> No.892798

/co/ mostly, used to post and lurk /v/ a lot but that place has degenerated past tolerable limits. I skip around on the other various hobby boards to mix it up every now and then.

I dunno how it reflects on what I enjoy in writing!

>> No.892799

/jp/ mainly. There is often threas on danmaku (bullet-hell) games. I'm not a big fan of Touhou, mainly CAVE. Anyways, outside of reading danmaku shooters are my main hobby so..

>> No.892803

/r9k/, and I love books about bitches and whores.

>> No.892806

/co/ - i read comic books
/mu/ - i like reading about music
/x/ - i like reading horror
/tv/ - can't really relate this one to reading.

>> No.893143

/v/ - been going there since 2006, just can't stop
/x/ - creepypasta and scary pictures are good.

My board tastes do not reflect my taste in books. Though /x/ did recommend Gravity's Rainbow to me in one of their mindfuck book threads a long time ago.

>> No.893167

/v/, /an/, /a/ sometimes. /g/, /co/, /mu/, /tg/, /rs/ lol, and /x/.

Multiboard master race reporting in.

>> No.893172

mu, fa, lit, sometimes other boards
also porn boards

>> No.893173

/mu/ is my main board, I only come to /lit/ because Vonnegut goes well with The Antlers and my coke bottle glasses

>> No.893181

/tg/

Because we can argue about anything. Also because I grew up as a fantasy and history nerd. Surprisingly despite being a devou/tg/uardsman I have only read one GW related book. So mainly a few good fantasy novels and historical fiction as well as plenty of non-fiction accounts of wars, people and places.

>> No.893196

/v/-I like video games, and there are a quite a few with interesting plots. True fact: I came to /lit/ in the first place to get some tips for writing a game I'm designing and decided to start visiting here more often.

>> No.893199

>> No.893284

/lit/ /co/ /an/ /tv/ /x/ occaisonally /b/

I mostly read scifi, but you guys have gotten me into nongenre. I love Burroughs.

>> No.893312

/g/ - for my programming and occasional debian threads
/co/ - I love graphic novels
/a/ - I read manga, anime...not so much. I try to avoid the generic moeh/shonen stuff, and go for shit that tries to break the mold.
/v/ - tf2 and pokeman threads
/tg/ - roleplaying, MTG and Warhammer 40k threads.
/sci/ - it's like a twitter for the hadron collider!
/n/, sometimes - aviation threads. I'm an airline pilot.
/fit/ - I discuss my workout routine here.

From the boards I go to, I think you can tell I'm a huge nerd. I'm have almost no interest in the subjects of fashion, sports (other than my own personal fitness) and music.
Well, I can tell you the composers for animus and vidya, and that's it. I can't tell the difference between Radiohead and Coldplay, or why I should even bother.

Books I read? mostly historical, aviation related and the occasional sci-fi books.
One of my favorite is Wind, Sand and Stars.

Graphic novels are typically bound in longer and more durable formats than familiar comic magazines, using the same materials and methods as printed books.

No, I just use the term for those expensive, one-shot comic books, instead of serial publications by comic book. I don't use it to differentiate the content, just merely the distribution method.
I have no mood to argue semantics right now. Go to /co/ if your panties are tight enough for a bitch fight.

i know this makes me sound like an asshole, but let me tell you, /adv/ is like a form of therapy for me. reading that board always makes me feel alot better about myself and my well balanced life.

>> No.893667

I like /co/, when it isn't summer. Thus I read (good) comics. Red boards like /u/, /s/ and /y/ indicate that I read erotica/pin up books sometimes. /trv/ is good for learning about other cultures, which is what I try to do.

I've tried to go to be, but it was just trolls trolling trolls, which I couldn't get into.

>> No.893672

Ok, here goes:
/a/ for trollan
/c/ for Sunday Evening Happy Time
/x/ for lulz and wannabe occultism

I mostly read /lit/ style books (that's why I'm on /lit/, duh), but I guess I also read some Light Novels and Manga (/a/ related, right?)... The types of books I like usually involve crazy people in some way or another, so that might be /x/ related...

Oh, hey, is Lolita /c/ related? It's not like it's /l/, but...
