it's not wolfe-tier but it's a pretty good fantasy series, not the usual extruded fantasy product. i loved it when i was younger, haven't reread it recently tho, and young me was quite stupid, so ymmv.

I've read it twice over the years. It's a fun, creative fantasy/sci-fi crossover. Lots of adventure, weird creatures, alternate realms, intrigue, plots and counter plots...it'll keep you entertained.

My only complaint is that the first half is stronger than the second half. But not by much. Just a different focus on the characters.

I do recommend it. Enjoy mate!
