I've never really been that fond of the Chrestomanci books, surprisingly - they seem to be her most famous and popular. Maybe it's Chrestomanci himself, always popping up to solve everything. I'm just finishing the Dalemark Quartet at the moment which I think are much better. Read them in the order they were written, not set, and they'll get better and more ambitious as they go along.

It might be a case of Nostalgia Goggles, but I liked the Diadem series quite a bit. Then again, I'm not certain if that's 'young adult' or some other genre.
