I think this one was the first that I read.

It was apart of a 3-pack that I ordered from one of those Scholastic order forms.

That too was ridiculous.
the twist was that everyone had to wash a giant ball of slime, wasn't it? Fuck that shit.
The best one was the one about the shark or sea monster or whatever it was, and then he ruined it by making a sequel and completely destroying the end.

All I remember was this choose your own adventure one where you get this awesome car from a clown for your birthday and drive off into a "DEAD END" which somehow kills you.

AAAAAAAAAA

Yeah, this cover basically cemented my fascination with Goosebumps. Fond memories of hiding it under my bed so that the skeletons couldn't come out of the cover ensue. My parents couldn't figure out why I would read it.

There was this book I remember reading as a kid, I think it was called Night Terrors, it was a short story collection of scary stories for kids. I've never seen it again, anyone hear of it or remember it?

Was one story about siblings who find a vampire lair near the Florida Keys?

And then I remember another in which a boy takes a sacred Hawaiian volcano rock to the mainland and some sort of volcano goddess appears and basically drags him to hell.

I don't remember, I can't find anything about it online. I think there was a Grave Digger who did interludes or something like that.

Usually, but the one in this book was kind of weird. Plus, "eldritch" as a last name always struck me as corny.

The boss fight in this one was really depressing, though. I tried to get a good ending like twenty times as a kid before I realized there wasn't one :(
