Is it worth it to read Le Morte d'Arthur, or should I just read The Once and Future King?

You should read both. The once and future king is one of my favorite books but le morte de Arthur is awesome. I haven't read a lot of stuff from that period but it's so different from modern storytelling.

White is satirizing the heck out of Malory, so read Malory first, and then enjoy White so much more (and don't forget Book of Merlyn).

If you want to read the best works of the Arthurian tradition, read de Troyes, Eisenbach, and the Pearl Poet
