Depends who is doing the narration. I prefer English or American, and male over female narrators, but it could also depend on the book. Someone here said they like hearing the older stuff spoken out loud, like Greek plays or Beowulf, because it feels more like an epic story that way.

Any recommended military memoirs (tankers, pilots, infantry, etc. WW2 onwards) in audiobook format? Got a week of nightshifts I have to somehow survive and I discovered the wonder of audiobooks on my last one and it helped me a lot.
