For what purpose?
I guess your's is kind of rare because I've read 3 books by Sagan but never heard of that one.

Mine is probably GR or C&P; both pretty common around here.

So we can make something new instead of the usual (The Greeks,Dostoevsky,Borges,Pinchon, etc) nobody mentions authors like Papini. I want something fresh taken out of your own creativity and foundings.

Fair enough, but I feel like most of the pre-1900 "hidden gems" have already been discovered and already received the recognition they deserve by people seriously into literature.

I think it's hard to pick a book I enjoy enough to call my favorite that isn't widely appreciated (by people into lit). Even lesser known 20th century books like Naked Lunch or The Third Policeman are well appreciated on /lit/.

Sagan is great, have you read Contact?

Several of my favourites are already lit essentials, but this is a great book.

Your obsession with Reddit has become clear.

You have to go back.

Fanfic is objectively the most superior form of literature as it doesn't need to waste any words on characterization or worldbuilding.

>> No.8607839

>>8607834

that's not true, right? i mean it might literally be true, but the only actually appealing trait of fanfiction is that it continues to worldbuild. that's literally it.
