In my opinion, the Short Story collections were the best. R.L. Stine is eerily similar to Stephen King in that they both shine when it comes to their short stories.

A few of Stine's stories are hilariously Lovecraftian or Twilight Zone-like in origin. He does them so well that you don't notice it, though.
