tl;dr stories good for a 11 year old.

My 11 year old brother is reading short stories. Just finished this list:
http://www.mrswatersenglish.com/2014/05/40-excellent-short-stories-for-middle-school/

Thoughts on good authors/collections for him to continue with? Not a lot is coming to mind for me except some obvious, commonly anthologized stuff.

His problems stem from vocabulary and understanding what is going on because again he's a 11 year old. For example, Owl Creek Bridge was pushing it for him and he had a lot of questions afterward that I had to reread the story and help him through.
