Question: What would Patrick Bateman think of Trump's campaign?

The book was published in '91 and I wasn't around to know how Trump was considered back then. From what I gather Bateman idolises him purely for his wealth and next-level prestige in the business world.

Ignoring 'The Apprentice' where possible, what would Bateman think of his hero's current fame?

My gut response is he'd find it tacky and want to murder him
