1. Can you recommend me some page turners like Michael Connelly books?

2. Do you think literature and the written word in general is well within the clutches of the nu-male beta phaggot artiste paradigm (and its symbiotically attached 6/10 beta orbiter collecting female attention whore paradigm)?

In 1100 AD the main ways to convey intellectualism were being literate, memorising passages, worshipping the Greeks and Bible in ever more elaborate ways, and inventing your own branch of unfalsifiable philosophy or theology.

It seems that many people resent the fact that we dont live in 1100 AD and that we have "academic fields" and "real world fields" like mathematics, physics, basket weaving, programming, investment banking, American Football etc., in which creativity and excellence and "progress" and "intelligence" can be expressed. We are still told that reading (for its own sake and not as a means to doing, like learning what a car does) is a noble act and the sole way to be open minded.
