Most people dislike Stranger in a Strange Land, it was only popular for the generation of useless hippies it pandered to.

It's justly denigrated in our time, and because it's so uncompelling, by being Heinlein's flagship title, detaches people from reading further books from him.

Kind of like shitty novels from le black science fiction man.

And not even because I dislike science fiction or PKD, I love A Scanner Darkly and VALIS, but this book is just trash and Blade Runner outdid it in every way, in aesthetic, philosophy and even as a simple sci-fi story.
