How often you regret you developed love for literature in early years, instead of spending time at more productive and needed by society hobby, which would give you good work in future. I think that with a good trade instead of book i would be much more carefree, richer and probabably not a virgin too

But I've set my cause on nothing, anon.
Maybe you should regret WHAT you read and not THAT you read. But what good does regret do in any case? Read on, my friend.

I don't regret it, but I do have a good job and marriage. I don't think my love of books had any effect on the latter.

This is why indentured servitude should have been made permanent.

What do you mean. I dont see how european modernism will made me successfull person, but i am not very interested in specialised, dry knowledge

What is a successful person? Have you ever read anything that has forced you to think about that?

Dude, girls don't give a fuck about what you do in your free time, they just want someone attractive. Obviously, guys who do sports will have more athletic bodies and are often more carefree and easy-going. So don't blame your activities blame yourself and your pathetic ego and weak will.

I developed it later on. /lit/ bullies me over the fact that I read the Iliad for the first time at 25.

you realise you could just read more and be more well-read and intelligent instead spending countless hours at trying to be attractive?

of course, but it's good to try to get a balance. spending an hour or so every other day in the gym won't take away that much from your reading time

It's weird how many guys still manage to convince themselves that love of books and popularity with women are mutually exclusive. You know that more women than men are completing MAs & doctorates these days? That every grad Eng class has several hotties and the class is usually half-women or more? Those women don't fuck bodybuilders with cars, they fuck other arts majors. I make my precarious living teaching, and had years of ample sex in my university days. Please don't blame books for your inability to get laid. Blame your lit major for your inability to get work, sure, but not your reading habit for lack of sex.

Lol in what way? Art majors tend to fuck other art majors, sure he sounds a bit autistic, but ultimately most of what he said is right.

Wait til you get out of high school and those shy honor roll girls start having sex. It really opens up the playing field. I went out with music students, art students, lit students, classics students, philosophy students, and girls who just liked those things. Did you think they were all asexual or lesbians?

I regret vidya

Shit hobby, autistic friends, dead industry, and zero career benefits.

I used to play pubs in ns2 for over ten hours a day and couldnt find a team.
