Only Star Wars novel I've ever read, was "Splinter in the minds eye".
It was originally plan B script for a Star Wars sequel, if the movie would have flopped. The story doesn't have Han Solo in it because Ford wasn't signed to the sequel yet.
It happens on a swamp planet because fog was cheap to use.
It was a good story, but I was more intrigued by the surroundings where it was made.
Nowadays I think the story goes inbetween episodes 4 and 5.
