Ok, so we discuss him often and each time we seem to unravel a little more why everyone else is wrong and he is right.

Last time all the >muh torture folk got btfo by this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuNsu-15HYM

The rest is essentially just, 'yeh but Hume, i don't know why that works but it does'

So, /lit/ so far it's Harris about 50 /lit/ zero, so i ask you again, is he wrong about anything?

and this proves what, again?

Also if we're just going down the shitflinging road then I might point out that you're taking the work of a famous redditor

yeh, you've totally proven a point here. Just not the one you probably hoped to.

Bullshit. Harris is condemned all over plebbit for his Islamophobia and overall stupidity.

Those comics have more substance than the entire body of Sam Harris's philosophical work.

You can't even prove me wrong.

The inside of the moon is made of wood, you can't even prove me wrong.

Shall we continue with nonsense, or are you going to get over your triggering and try coming up with some actual responses?

I was going to mention how the Hume business actually comes from these badly made comics, so I'm glad someone had the foresight (or bad judgment, whatever) to post them.

It's not actually an intelligent critique, and it only works because it's not properly explained just what the argument is. (It helps that it appeals to an authority like Hume, but that's just a bonus—it could be any poorly-written reference.)

If one is going to argue about Harris violating a somehow sacred "is-ought" rule, you must extend that to just about every writer out there ranging from Plato to Kant.

In fact, one could say it's only used in the comic because of it's universal applicability to everything (showing the maker didn't care enough to make a more specified critique).

I don't even like Harris, but this comic is intellectually LAZY.

>Get over your triggering

But triggering you is fun. the only thing Sam Harris is good for is a cock sleeve; i like Photoshop his face onto the lolis of my favorite mind break doujins. There's no more reason to take his views seriously than I would Kanye West's (also a cock sleeve).
