Or it's like saying children who grew up on Dahl will never graduate to anything better. Children's literature isn't about being smart or thought provoking it's about getting kids to love reading. Harry Potter does that. The kids that will go on will go on. I guarantee parents who shove Shakespeare down their kids throats as soon as possible will be more likely to turn their kids off reading completely then the parents who read Harry Potter to their kids.
