/g/ here. I like philosophy but haven't read a real book. just pieces there and there cuz I haven't had much time. Now I wanna get more into it. What would you suggest? I enjoy ancient Greeks but Is starting with it mandatory? What should I get after the Greeks?

Pick up any philosopher that interests you right now and read. Starting with Greeks isn't imperative to understanding whatsoever it's just what they do in Uni because "academic rigor" aka appeal to tradition/authority. Kant's prose is just as unreadable if you studied the Greeks first except that you will notice some similar terminology which might make you more prejudiced, yay. If you are truly interested in philosophy you will stop by Kant, Greeks and the rest sooner or later anyways but that's kinda the thing, you probably aren't just like most others on here and elsewhere..
