Dugin rejects the subjects of the old ideologies (Individual, Class, Nation) in favour of Dasein for the Fourth Political Theory but can someone tell how this will be applied any differently compared to Nationalism? (Which Dugin officially rejects, yet constitutes part of his Neo-Eurasinism)

I don't know but I'm sure it involves killing a lot of Ukrainians.

>calls to hasten the "end of times" with all out war
>"I think that Internet as such, as a phenomenon is worth prohibiting because it gives nobody anything good."
>n June 2012, Dugin said in a lecture that chemistry and physics are demonic sciences, and that all Orthodox Russians need to unite around the President of the Russian Federation in the last battle between good and evil, following the example of Iran and North Korea.
>The meaning of Russia is that through the Russian people will be realized the last thought of God, the thought of the End of the World. . . . Death is the way to immortality. Love will begin when the world ends. We must long for it, like true Christians. . . . We are uprooting the accursed Tree of Knowledge. With it will perish the Universe

The 21st century is sure shaping up to be fun. we got dozens of competing batshit apocalyptic ideologies, culture collapsing into recursive memery, liberal universalist consensus is dead and nearly 100% of the population has a mental illness of some sort. Like I said fun.

Do you think that we as a population suffer more from mental illness than in the past, or are we quicker to classify people as deviations from some kind of norm?

Dugin is a meme philosopher in Russia. I know educated people of different beliefs: hardcore liberals, communists, nationalists, anarchists, whomever. STEM majors or humanities majors. And not a single person takes him seriously.

Except it's documented he has had massive influence on the policy of Zyuganov's Communist Party and Zhironovskys liberals

Of course I'm not even talking about his connections to high ranking indviduals of the government and the use of his Geopolitical work in the military. Quite a few take his work seriusly

Both are a complete joke. Well, it's true that Dugin has connections, and lots of them. He is said to be Putin's favourite philosopher. Sadly, that doesn't make his thoughts any better than they are. It just indicates that Russia is led by madmen.

Laugh at them all you want, but to say no one takes him seriously when he has effectively has influence on all three major Russian parties is just a little bit ridiculous. He has no personal links to Putin, and could be said it was Putin who had him fired from MSU for his firebrand politics. You're whole post comes across quite russophobic desu

mental illness has always been a somewhat arbitrary classification. Though I'm also thinking about the massive changes world society has undergone over the last few years. too much too soon and most people are thrown off balance in some way or another

to be honest, Russian politicians do tend to look like potential Bond supervillians. American elites are probably just as insane, though in a decidedly more boring way.
