Saw this at the bookstore and flipped through it; the experimental nature of the book seemed interesting but also irritating (those near-empty fucking pages). Is it worth the price and time or is it actually a pretentious piece of shit?

you obviously have a prejudice against. don't read it if you don't want to. or borrow it from a library and read it. stop coming here to get your uninformed opinions validated by other dumbasses

I'm just asking other people what they thought of the book. At a glance, yes, it seemed pretentious to me but maybe somebody who has read the whole thing can comment on the overall piece and whether they thought it was worth the read or not. You're clearly not the person. Go back to whining about how nobody gives a shit about your writing and post pictures of the books you're reading.

the long and short of it is that it's an entertaining but uneven book. the weird text shit isn't 2deep4u at all, and is very readable and fun and works well. one of the main strands of the book is annoying though, not due to the formatting, but due to the character being incredibly tedious.

I read HoL in 2003 or thereabouts and have no way of determining whether that's a clever reference or a sincere question. So I'll go with the latter and say three days ago. Though it wasn't a croissant.
