Say what you will about Theology, but if you get a masters in it you get a master of divinity.

And that just sounds badass.

>> No.794105

Most of these are probably going to boil down about the same with just a Bachelors degree, you can teach or get a semi-decent mostly degree unrelated job.

Although I am kind of confused as to the rationale of putting music and astronomy in the top tier.

Also, music in top? Really? So you can be a studio musician on other people's albums? Seriously, a great career as a musician is about as likely as a career in the majors for someone on a baseball scholarship. It happens all the time but that doesn't mean the odds are good.

Yes, you can. Or you could start playing basketball and make a hell of a lot of money in the NBA. Or you could start playing poker and clean up at the million dollar poker tournaments. These are all things that are possible.

More likely you will make a mediocre living or end up doing something unrelated. I know quite a few professional musicians through a friend who's a professional opera singer. She makes bank, they don't.

*sigh* Yes. They probably are, compared to the 1% or whatever of the people who make a great living at it. Just like 99.9% of basketball players are shit compared to the .1% in the NBA. Are you getting it yet? It's one of those professions where you need a fuckton of dedication, but even that may not be good enough. You either have talent or you don't.

As a graduate, I'll happily debunk this.

A good friend of mine began his degree doing Astrophysics. He modified his course and graduated in Mathematical Physics. He did his doctorate in Astronomy.
