All right /lit/, anybody here know anything about book publishing?

hypothetically speaking, how much do you figure it would be to start a publishing office up? Also, mention the machinery minimally required to run this hypothetical starter business.

you are suggesting online distribution. So... Website fees for design, some publicity that may or may not be free and through networking sites, and then thats it.

not bad, could easily distribute for ~$500 or less. But not very profitable

realistically, you'd need to know the skills through working in an existing publishing house, and even then it would be a risk
