The Savage God by A. Alvarez covers suicide.
I've heard good things about The Oxford Book of Death.
Hope that helps.

Kafka, maybe The Metamorphosis.

Bradbury deals with those issues too a lot, try The Illustrated Man.

Doestoievsky's Karamazovs and Notes from Underground.

Borges' Poems.

Schopenhauer's "On death".

The Oxford Book of Death is really, really good, and is in fact almost certainly what you're looking for.

If you're looking for something non-fictional, I recommend Death and the Afterlife by Brian Innes.
If you're looking for morbid fiction, try The Maze of Death or Ubik by Philip K. Dick, The Brothers Lionheart by Astrid Lindgren and An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge by Ambrose Bierce.

The Death of Ivan Ilyich by Tolstoy and Errand by Raymond Carver (about the death of Chekov) are two very good short stories.

Jose Saramago - Death with interruptions

It's a whole different view on dying. Its about a country where nobody dies. But in the neighbouring countries people are still dying. The books view is mainly on how the people in the country react to and live with this affliction/gift. Also it's about a personified death.
