Hey /lit/

I want to have an existential crisis. What do I have to do to have an existential crisis?

Understand existentialism and make no effort to make something of yourself.

At first I lol'd but then I thought back to when I was 18 and realized that this is exactly what an existential crisis is.

It's the easiest way. I had a version where I tried really hard but thought nothing would ever be good ENOUGH.

Then I said fuck it, got a little more apathetic, and once I relaxed and enjoyed life I became more focused and accomplished MORE. Cool shit.

there is SOME truth in this. a great amount really. for as the Reverend Zosima said, it is up to us to take responsibility for this absurd world... true word OP, true words...

I'm in university now studying computer science only because it's interesting and I'm mathematically inclined. I know computers are pointless and I know life is pointless. I just do whatever for the sake of doing it and I'm pretty fucking happy.

That's how I got over my existential crisis anyways.

why does /lit/ have such a boner for existentialism? it must be an angsty teen fad.
