ITT: Questions that don't need their own thread.

I'll start: Are Vonnegut's other works like Cat's Cradle? I mean, in the way Cat's Cradle was about half exposition and kept adding random information that isn't even crucial to the main plot which takes place in the last third. See: Pretty much everything before arriving at San Lorenzo, which could be summarized easily in a few pages.
