I think we almost have the real true meme trilogy completed. It's My Twisted World by E.R and now this, The Art of the Deal; we're only missing one book.

It's actually a pretty good way to get into Trump's psyche, even if it was written -I use that verb loosely- 20+ years ago. I think some journalists have been a little too dependent on it, but nor do I think Trump has deviated much from the things he set down in that book.

It's worth a read, even if you agree with Trump or not. Gives some good insight about deals and negotiations.

an illegal immigrant with multiple arrests just murdered five people in Kansas on the same night that the Democrats where doing a debate for Spanish Broadcaster Universion each trying to out do each other on being soft on illegal immigration! lol Trump gonna steam roll these shit heads..Sanders might be able to beat Trump if he's lucky but Clinton is fucking deadmeat

>> No.7796309

The first chapter is a narration of a week in Trump's 1986 life. He takes a lot of calls and plays around with stocks. Then there's a chapter on how he likes to negotiate deals. Then about 7/10 of the book tells stories of how he settled bigger and bigger deals. Final chapter is more narration of how the deals from his week went.

Read American Psycho afterwards and you'll entirely understand where Ellis was coming from.

There is an art to making deals.
You can make a lot of money if you know how to make deals.
Some people are just better at making deals than others.
You should not go into business if you don't have the innate ability to make good deals, or can't learn how to make a good deal.

Why the fuck would Sanders be able to outdo Trump better than Sanders? This is that delusional Bernie supporter in you speaking. Sanders is the weakest man I've ever seen on television. Look at how he reacted to the Black Lives Matter protesters. The man has no resolve.
And that's to say nothing of the fact that he's a socialist who refused to disavow Fidel Castro and has a child out of wedlock. The first time Trump calls him a socialist, the race is over.
If anyone stands a chance, it would be Clinton, who's moderate enough to get some Republican votes and has the best platform economically speaking (whereas Sanders has the worst and Trump is only slightly better than Sanders).

>thinking calling Sanders a socialist would stop him from winning rather than gain him more support

are you really that stupid that you forgot the 2008 election already? you know the one where they called Obama a socialist everyday for a fucking year? where Hillary Clinton lost to a black guy that people thought was a muslim socialist from kenya? oh, that's trey in 2004 you were right to go with Kerry rather than Dean because after all Kerry was much more electable, being a wishy washer Clinton style moderate, in fact he was so electable he lost the election and Bush won a second term, thanks.

>WASHINGTON — Donald J. Trump’s blistering critique of American trade policy boils down to a simple equation: Foreigners are “killing us on trade” because Americans spend much more on imports than the rest of the world spends on American exports. China’s unbalanced trade with the United States, he said Tuesday night, is “the greatest theft in the history of the world.”

>Add a few “whereins” and “whences” and that sentiment would conform nicely to the worldview of the first Queen Elizabeth of 16th-century England, to the 17th-century court of Louis XIV, or to Prussia’s Iron Chancellor, Otto von Bismarck, in the 19th century. The great powers of bygone centuries subscribed to the economic theory of mercantilism, “Wherein we must ever observe this rule: to sell more to strangers yearly than we consume of theirs in value,” as its apostle, the East India Company director Thomas Mun, wrote in the 1600s.

>Now Mr. Trump is bringing mercantilism back

Trump confirmed patrish as fuck and savior of western civilization. I might have to register to vote for this one, god damn.
