Who do you think is the most sincere writer? As in who doesn't write like a special snowflake and keeps the bullshit aside.

Burroughs appeals to me in a big way for his sincerity. this will seem like a misguided statement to folks who have only read a couple of WSB's books, and who mistake him for 2edgy, but he wrote things the way he saw them. his fiction (especially his last 3 novels) is clearer than people pretend it is, and he really was invested 100% in what he was doing.
