I asked this in another thread but got no answers. Is this a good book to get into philosophy with? Currently on the Anaxagoras chapter.

Also philosophy book recommendations and so on.

I heard it's really good. I don't have it in my language and it is really expensive to import it now, so I won't be reading it anytime soon. I've read Bertrand Russell's History of Western Philosophy and am starting Giovanni Reale's History of Ancient Philosophy. I recommend the latter, if you ask me.

Because it's no longer relevant, thanks to neuroscience/etc; in the same way that Philosophy of Science is now a dead school of thought, thanks to science in general.

>>7772163

Let's not. It's no longer necessary. Keep shitting yourselves about the mysterious 'other' and the semantics surrounding the very basic question of whether or not to be an asshole, kek.

>mysterious 'other'
That has nothing to do with Kant though. Just because later German Idealists and post-modernists tried to use some of his ideas to compose their own shitty ideas doesn't detract from Kant any less.

No one actually rebutted his point, however.

Hell, metaphysics in general stopped being relevant long ago. I imagine the Post-Modernism so loved by this place will go the same way.
