Not sure what to study: English or History? I live in Holland and I need to make a choice fast.

>> No.764867

Neither.

Study something useful instead of a hobby.

>> No.764864

I studied history. It was very enjoyable but rather useless career-wise.

As you're Dutch maybe English will be more beneficial?

There'll always be burgers for you humanities students to flip.

>> No.765567

seriously, i'm thinking of learning a trade. I mean, I love literature but if I ended up being a teacher (which is like the highest aspiration for a lit major) I would just feel like I never left school. I hated teachers for that. So, I'm thinking welding or something. I can still read and study in my free time.

too many lawyers as it is.

plus the laws are mostly fucked up and too numerous. Why would you want to uphold them

less lawyers will give us a less litigious society, and taht is what we need.

I frown upon anyone going to school to become a lawyer
