Who else has peculiar reading habits here?

I usually put my books in the microwave for twenty seconds so they come out toasty and warm. I like warm books in my hands. In the summer, I leave them in the freezer overnight. It feels great.

I thought I was the only one who did this...

When I'm alone I like to read out loud in a loud, nasal Jewish voice.

I usually read the last word/part of a sentence of the book first and try to imagine how the story unfolds to that point and compare a prediction I make in the first few chapters to how the actual story played out.

As i'm reading through a book, i burn every page just after i have read it, so as to burn it into my memory.

I usually simmer my books in red sauce, and give them a sprinkling of feta cheese before I read them.

I won't read a book until it's been fully inserted into either mine, or somebody else' anus.

This makes big history books problematic, but god invented crack whores for a reason.

are you guys trolling or not? I might try it with a library book but I want to know if it will burst into flames or something

>> No.7549766

I only read on an e-reader. I converted mine to 220v, overclocked everything, added a water cooler to it. I can get a pretty decent welding arc out of the usb port. I just won't use the damn thing unless my shit is beefy.

Sometimes I read outloud and drift from accent to accent. I have a pretty solid sopranos style accent which sometimes gets a little jewish. I'm pretty good with black accents as well.

This could be a somewhat interesting thread, meme responses aside.

I take tons of notes to see patterns in texts. I'm not talking about dumbass notes like "me af XD", I'm talking about marking the margins whenever something philosophical is mentioned, political, etc... colors, numbers, pretty much everything objective. Unfortunately, it takes longer to read a text on this method, but I'm pretty quick with it. Then, I make extractions of all these notes.

I only read books during the daytime. No exceptions.

I don't crack spines or even open books very wide for that matter.

I really never mention literature to anybody aside from a couple of friends who read a lot. It's because my father hated my love of reading at a young age, and I got into this pattern of either never mentioning literature... or if I ever did, I would be very self-deprecating about it.

I like to read the bible in the manner of Dave Sim. I found his reading of the book of judges on youtube to be particularly compelling.

I take some stuff I consider chick crack with me and put it on the table in the cafe's I write, as a conversation starter. Mostly small books like The Little Prince.
Not really a reading habit, as I usually don't read those "spiritual/philosophical" books myself.
