How does it feel that Sweden is miles ahead of America in terms of realpolitik and feminist issues?

That claim is so hilariously retarded I don't even get how people can believe it. How utterly lacking in self-awareness must one be to uncritically accept such a claim?

More than BBC posts this statistics. Private American higher education is the best in the world. Certainly, pretty much every European country has them beat by miles in public universities,

So uh, wait, that news article actually misreported their HDI position in 2010, ignores inequality adjustment, and ignores how much consistently higher Sweden is than other countries? I mean, fuck, look at the inequality-adjusted HDI of the USA:
>2010: 12th
>2011: 23th
>2013: 16th
>2014: 28th
Damn, son.

Yep, I'm from Sweden and this is true. Our school system was not built for high results in STEM, it's built for creativity (which might be fucking BS, but it's what we went for), basically creating free thinking individuals.

A complete lack of respect for authority and work. Might work out okay in the end now, with basic income and all that just around the corner.

Our school system is built for doing well in tests and we still can't do that right. The only reason we're up that far is because all our money had to take us somewhere.

Glad to see Asian countries topping the list and Middle Eastern, Latin, and African countries coming up.

They can choose their source, they can choose how to interpret it, in extreme cases they can go all-out and blatantly lie about what their source is even saying.
See >>7461051 for a very extreme example.

For the biggest part though, I was simply being fallacious.

I still don't trust the conclusion that Sweden's edu system beats that of the USA (LOL), but for different reasons.

They are reporting one famous and trusted source. The results are different than the UN's because they have different methodologies.

I linked BBC because it had a nice map to go along with it. You can search up the original study and read about it. Anyone can.

Believe me, I'm not a nationalist defending the American educational system. I just don't understand why people would attack a source for being that source instead of reading it and attacking the points within it, whether the information itself or its presentation.
