I thought I'd goof around and finish the cipher for the crypt section in the Parts. Maybe I should make the key comprehensible, in case someone actually wants to have at it on some boring Tuesday evening to replace their newspaper sudoku and crosswords. Do you think I should, Anons? Pic related.

And yes, it does translate into some shit. I tried too long to make the ciphertext actually *mean* something, but that's too advanced a challenge for me, given the limited selection of letters to choose per symbol.

It's a moral dilemma. I repeatedly ask people to vote and, while there's been some decent contribution to the prompt, there remains a whole lot overlooked (especially with the last suggestions, people overarching to have the last say in the book.) The weight isn't too cumbersome and, besides, we might come into conflict.

The kind of book that makes people hate books. Literally one of, if not, the worst story I've ever read. A classic English majors only book, aka people like talking about this book and that they "get it" make you feel like their intellectual inferior. This book is the literary equivalent of some hipster noise band that everyone knows sucks but people will say they are good just to be in the "know."

I must say this before I get a bunch of messages from people looking down their nose at me. I do "get it" I got an A on the paper I wrote on this book but what I "get" more is that there is nothing to "get." It's the act of "getting it" and being part of that special little crew that does that makes people enjoy this book. They enjoy more looking down upon those simpletons who don't "get" it than they enjoy the story. Get what I'm saying?

If you enjoy art that makes a statement, try this book. If you enjoy books for the story they tell and the messages you can extract from that story, avoid this book. It's up to you. (less)

This isn't a book so much as it is a farce. It has been argued that it is pretentious. While I've certainly met people who are pretentious who love it, the concept "pretentious" concerns ideas posing as being more important than they actually are. There are no ideas in Hypersphere, which is merely a collection of arbitrary slop spewed from some lazy idiots with computers. One cannot accuse an idea of pretense if there is no idea to begin with. Hypersphere can literally be used to test a reader's self esteem, and is the penultimate literary example of the emperor not wearing any clothes. Were I to write a villain, he would have written this collection of words specifically to filter stupid, insecure people from intelligent people (or, if not intelligent, at least people with a shred of self esteem and dignity). I've heard countless, exhaustive "arguments" for its alleged "genius," but the beginning and the end of the argument is simply this: words arranged arbitrarily do not connote meaning, they connote the arbitrary, the accidental. If you are the type who thinks being confused by something means it is necessarily profound, you don't have any self esteem. For anyone responding to this who would seek to contradict this or tell me otherwise, my response is - read this paragraph again; I already think you're an idiot...why do you think I'll read your reply? Hypersphere is not a book. It's a monument to human insecurity clothed in a literary costume.
