Any other novels quite like this? I love the self destructive picaresque nature, the fish out of water narrative in contemporary society taken to a comic extreme, a 20th century Candide. Any ideas?

Any other novels quite like this? I love the self destructive picaresque nature, the fish out of water narrative in contemporary society taken to a comic extreme, a 20th century Candide.
